The iconic and famous music award show, the Annual Grammy Awards, also known as the Grammys, had its 67th event taking place on February 2nd, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, in the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. During this show, more than 90 awards were presented, some being Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, and Best Pop Solo Performance awards. Not only did these awards mark achievements, but they also marked history. Doechii, a female rapper, won the Best Rap Album award, where she mentioned that she became the 3rd woman to ever win an award for Best Rap Album, following Lauryn Hill in 1997 and Cardi B in 2019. Additionally, Beyoncé won the Album Of the Year award for the album for Cowboy Carter, marking it as her first ever AOTY award, and becoming the first Black woman to ever take home a Grammy Award in the Best Country Album.
In between award presentations, multiple artists performed, including popular singers like Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter, who showcased songs such as Birds of a Feather, Von Dutch, Guess, Espresso, and Please Please Please. Not only that, but after winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the song ‘Die With a Smile’, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars also performed the song ‘California Dreamin’’ in tribute to the Los Angeles Wildfires.
Other than the awards, The Grammys created an event serving as a fundraiser and tribute to first responders and those affected, including a Los Angeles Fire Department presentation of the Album of the Year award. The presentation of the Album of the Year award by the Department members marked the end of the Grammy Awards 2025, ending at around 11.30 pm Eastern Time.
